東京電機大学丹羽保次郎記念論文賞受賞候補者募集要項について
平成24年度（第36回）丹羽保次郎記念論文賞受賞候補者募集要領
１. 対象となる論文 情報工学等の関連分野を含む、広い意味の電子通信工学関係論文
のうち 次に該当する論文を対象とします。
(1) 掲載期間 平成22年9月1日～平成24年8月31日
(2) 著 者 応募者の単著、又は共著の場合には本人の寄与が大部分のものとします。
(3) 次のような学会誌に掲載された1論文を対象とします。
電子情報通信学会、電気学会、映像情報メディア学会、日本音響学会、情報処理学会、
応用物理学会、日本物理学会、ＩＥＥＥ等国内外の学会の学会誌及び論文誌等
のうち 次に該当する論文を対象とします。
(1) 掲載期間 平成22年9月1日～平成24年8月31日
(2) 著 者 応募者の単著、又は共著の場合には本人の寄与が大部分のものとします。
(3) 次のような学会誌に掲載された1論文を対象とします。
電子情報通信学会、電気学会、映像情報メディア学会、日本音響学会、情報処理学会、
応用物理学会、日本物理学会、ＩＥＥＥ等国内外の学会の学会誌及び論文誌等
2. 申請者の資格 (1) 大学院学生（修士課程及び博士課程)

3. 推薦 推薦者は大学院研究科委員長或いはそれに準ずる職の方とします。
注意：国内大学・研究機関からの推薦にあっては、推薦者の公印を押印すること。海外大学・ 研究機関

4. 審査 審査は審査委員会（審査委員長：東京電機大学長 古田勝久）において、提出さ
れた書類を中心にして行います。

5. 選考基準
(1) 論文の独立性・独創性・工学的有効性の見地から判断します。ただし、この賞は大学院
生あるいは最近の修了者が著者である論文を対象としていますので、実用的価値につい
ては広い意味で将来実用につながることが考えられれば結構です。
(2) 選考に当たっては、単に対象論文だけでなく、本人の過去の業績、論文、特に学会等で
発表された場合の口頭発表者が誰であったか等も参考にします。
(3) 論文としてのまとまりを見ます。
(4) 実学を尊ばれた丹羽保次郎博士の賞に相応しいものを選考します。
(1) 論文の独立性・独創性・工学的有効性の見地から判断します。ただし、この賞は大学院
生あるいは最近の修了者が著者である論文を対象としていますので、実用的価値につい

6. 受賞者の決定
(1) 受賞者の決定は本年度中に行い、受賞者とその推薦者に郵便をもって通知します。
(2) 受賞者は２名以内とします。

7. 提出方法および提出期限
(1) 論文を含む全ての提出書類は、PDF形式にしたものをemailに添付し、下記担当までお

YASUJIRO NIWA OUTSTANDING PAPER AWARD
Competition Details and Guidelines
1. Eligibility Requirements:
The applicant must be engaged with electronic communication engineering in
general including information engineering, and
(1) is a Graduate Student (Master’s course or Doctoral course), or
(2) graduated or finished doctoral course within 2 years.
2. Candidate paper:
(1) Publication period: between September 1, 2010 and August 31, 2012
(2) Author: Either single author of the applicant or the most of the content is
a contribution of the applicant in case the paper is co-written.
(3) Only one paper which was published in the recognized academic journals
such as the following societies is acceptable.
The Institute of Electronics, Information and Communication Engineering,
Electrical Engineering of Japan, Information and Television Engineering,
The Acoustical Society of Japan, Information Processing Society of Japan,
The Japan Society of Applied Physics, The Physical Society of Japan, IEEE
Journal etc.
3. Recommendation: It is necessary to submit an officially stamped or signed
recommendation letter from dean or department head of a graduate school or
a person in an equivalent position.
4. Judgment: Submitted documents will be judged by the Judging Committee
(Chaired by the President of Tokyo Denki University, Katsuhisa FURUTA).
5. Criteria for Selection
(1) Paper will be judged from viewpoints of originality, independence and
engineering usability. In regard to engineering usability, future potential
will also be considered.
(2) In selection, applicant’s other performances, papers and presentation
achievements at academic meetings in the past are also considered.
(3) Cohesion as a paper is important.
(4) Prof.Yasujiro Niwa had a great respect on practical science. Paper which is
suitable for Yasujiro Niwa Outstanding Paper Award will be selected from
this practical scientific point.
6. Decision of Awardees
(1) Awardees will be decided by the end of this year and the result will be
notified by mail to the awardees and recommenders.
(2) Number of awardees: 1 or 2
(3) The Yasujiro Niwa Outstanding Paper Award and supplementary award will
be given to awardees.
